It is a powerful absorbent packed with 68 essential trace minerals which include calcium, magnesium, silica, sodium, copper, iron and potassium. Green clay has been widely used for digestive irregularities including constipation, diarrhoea, intestinal parasites, stomach ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, gastritis and helicobacter pylori.
Directions
Bentonite Clay can be used in many ways:
REFRESHING FOOTBATH
Add one tablespoon of clay to a warm footpath and allow your feet to soak for at least 15 minutes. After removing your feet from the bath, moisturise with natural oils or cream to support the hydration of your skin.
REJUVENATING BATH
Add between 2-4 tablespoons of clay to your running water and allow your body to soak in the bath for 20-30 minutes. Your body will continue to detox, even once you have climbed out of the bath. For the next few hours remember to continue drinking water as the will assist in keeping your body hydrated and it will support the removal of toxins.
FACE MASK
Add approximately 2 teaspoons of clay to a bowl and hydrate it with warm water. Add a natural moisturising oil (optional) like Almond, Rosehip or Pomegranate oil until it makes a smooth consistency that is easy to apply. Keep the clay most by spritzing your face with water and remove the masks 5-10 minutes after application, depending on your skin sensitivity. Follow the guidelines below if unsure:
- 3 minutes for sensitive skin
- 5-7 for normal skin
- 10 minutes for oily skin
Hydrate skin with oils, hydrating serums or natural creams after application. This mask can be used once a week to enhance the eliminatory and regenerative functions of your skin.
CLEANSING AID
When taken internally, this highly absorbent, negatively-charged clay will sweep through your body, attracting toxins and flushing them permanently from your body. Green clay can be taken internally to assist with the removal of pathogens, pesticides, toxins, heavy metals, bacteria and parasites. The properties in green clay contain a negative charge and this means that when ingested the clay will act like a magnet and pul positively-charged pathogens out of your body and flush them away.
Begin with a half a teaspoon of clay in a little water per day, for 3 days. After this you can increase the dosage to 1 teaspoon over a week and up to 3 teaspoons if needed. Try and have this as the last thing you ingest right before bed.
